While we are equipped to handle urgent, emergency medical needs, we are an emergency room (ER), not an "urgent care" facility. Unlike many urgent care facilities, TriStar Natchez ER is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and is always staffed by board-certified emergency medicine doctors and experienced nursing staff.

What is a freestanding ER?
A freestanding ER is a department of a hospital that is equipped to treat medical emergencies but is located on a different campus, separate from the actual hospital building and campus. This allows the surrounding communities to have more convenient access to a hospital-quality ER, without having to drive all the way to the hospital. TriStar Natchez ER is a freestanding ER staffed around-the-clock by board-certified doctors, highly trained nurses, and laboratory and imaging technologists. Our ER is backed by the doctors and resources of our parent hospital, TriStar Horizon Medical Center.
